Hey Everyone,

I'm hoping to get some Browns this weekend but I'm wondering if they are still in Athol Bay or if I should head to Scotch Bonnet? Any advice on depths I should target would be very helpful. This will be my second trip ever for Browns so any help would make a big difference on the possibility for success on the day.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Andrew, if I were going out saturday I would be trying the Bonnet, although there are still browns in Athol Bay. Being a king angler I would try the Bonnet but for sure would have a couple lines rigged with salmon gear. :D :D :D

Hey rtkman,

Ended up 1 for 2 landing just a 7 pound laker on a green shred fly behind an SD 40 feet down over 120 FOW. Marked tons of bait but didn't get a ton of action (as I said 1 for two). Went to Salmon Point yesterday and saw some browns swimming around so decided to try for them. They were spooky due to the calm clear water and we only managed 1 (1 for two, lost one right at the boat - just outside of reach of the net).

Was going to go back out today but the float switch on our bilge pump has decided to start acting up so we thought better of it until we get it fixed.
