Headed out of Lakeport at today around 8am. Only one other boat on the water, around the 130ft to 150ft water mark we started to get some bait balls but no fish. Then on a blank screen at 35ft down one marked fish, and within a minute the dipsey at 110ft of line and krocodie spoon fired. Landed a 6lb rainbow, after that we saw a few more bait balls. A couple time on the way back in around the same area we mark more lone fish at same depth but no hits. Just got the downriggers set up so this was our trial run and we chose the area to go because of easy access to deeper water. Plus with the great weather just had to be on the big lake, managed a 6 pole spread with 2 planners running 5 colours of lead, 2 Dipseys Size (1), and downriggers. All tipped with a variety of spoons.
Was nice to at least see some bait balls, and the Bow was a bonus. Lots of birds feeding in the area. Sorry We had a photo moment but I guess the button didnt get pushed. lol cheers
