Hi! Guys!

Firstly, thank you to Dan for posting it for me. And just a reply to some of the comments - Yes, Lake Scugog could never produce any walleye like that. We never usually go fishing there - too much pressure and no big ones. We were having problems with the scales when we were trying to get her weight but it kept coming up with 7.9 and I know it is hard to tell from the picture by my husband is a big guy.

It was my PB and it was a team effort to get her in the boat for sure and I am truly sorry if I cause a racket on the board but she was a monster for me. All I can say is there are big girls in the BOQ but don't know if they will still be there this weekend.

Either way it was a great fish and very exciting on light tackle I'm sure. Is it possible that the scale was reading 7.9 lbs and not kg. That looks possible based on the pic.

Congrats!

Guessing by the way it sticks out the sides of his shoulders, your 36" seems to be about right. I think the 7.9 lbs seems right as well.
There's nothing to be sorry about. Great fish for sure. And made for some great reading and anticipation.
Congrats on your PB.

Nice fish for sure. Hard to judge weight/length from a picture but it seems to lack the girth that you see in Quinte double digit eyes. I suspect that the scale was reading pounds not kilograms. You can tell your husband has had his picture taken with a few fish before. The way he has his arms stuck out there he looks like Grizz trying to make a fish look bigger than that of his co-anglers.

Regardless, well done. I know of a few anglers who would have been very happy to land that fish during the walleye open.

Cheers and tight lines.

No need to be sorry, easy mistake to make! Still an awesome fish and puts all the walleye I've ever caught to shame. Great work and keep posting! :)

Guess we will never know for sure. Still one of the largest walleye I've seen since the opener...certainly the longest. Nice job regardless and thankyou sincerely for posting it.
