I always wanted to try Erie lake.
Last year we decided to go to Detroit river. It was before BOQ opener.
It was expected that many walley from Erie & St Clair lakes come to the river for spawning.
But Sunday there was huge thunder storm with lighting.
We did not catch anything and even locals caught 1 or 2 per boat.
They were jigging with plastics which we don't use in BOQ.
So if you go there visit local tackle store to get proper tackle & information.
I always learn from mistakes. So if you go to Erie find local guys to go with them.

Thanks for the link Superdad - glad to see my old home area is still producing some great eyes. Heading down that way the end of the month for an annual G2G with my brothers, so hopefully will still be some fish around.
