So thanks to some people and posts here, and others I've met in my travels to find shore fishing spots in Kingston area, I finally caught a fish. I wish it had been a walleye, but hey ... at least I broke my losing streak!

10 lb. (give or take) catfish off the Collin's Bay dock! Almost busted my net getting the thing on the dock.

Well done. I'm sure you were excited when you hooked up with it. That is a great feeling.

Thanks. And he did put up a good fight. Good thing there were others around to help get it onto the dock. By myself I'm sure I would have lost it (and maybe took a swim in the mix). But since I know nothing about cooking or cleaning catfish and no one else there wanted him, he went back into the water. Besides, what the heck would I do with 6 lbs. of catfish in my fridge? Guess maybe I could've given him to BigMac. ;) Good meeting you out there too.

Great fish!

I live near Collins Bay and fish there fairly often. Nice to see some good fish so close to shore.

Cheers

Nice fish way to go!! I use to fish them at night on the culvert end by bath road. Are you from Dryden? Did we meet at Loborough lake?
