Hey Gang,

Got a friend who wants to hit Moria Lake. Both of us have never seen it. Anyone got some general info about it. Is the boat launch by the main road any good? Any community holes of walleye? We are planning more of a muskie trip but if it stinks then we'll go for the eyes.
Thanks

The boat launch is just north of the car bridge on the right hand side, they launch anything from12ft tinneys to houseboats at it.Lots of muskie.

Moria Lake is a good Lake for Musky and smaller Walleye. I have been fishing the Lake over 20 years.

For Walleye its more of a Jigging presentation that seems to work best. The East side (large side) a few of the best spots are near Stoney Island where the water is about 35' deep. You will also see guys in the middle of the big side on the weed flats. Motel point where the flag is on the north shore on the big side is also a great Walleye spot. The small side of the Lake you see most guys jigging or trolling the rocky shoal that's in the middle of the lake.

As for Musky......any walleye spot is also a musky spot. Fish the deep edges and put your time in.

Hope this helps,

Stacy

Thanks guys! Great Tips. I'll try to get there shortly. Once bass season hits, I tend to focus all my efforts towards them. A few big muskies would be a great warm up.
