Fished for 7 hours on Thursday and nothing, used bottom bouncers, Husky Jerks and a few trolling TD11’s, not a sniff, stopped in to see Paul at Perfect View and talked to a few gentleman and they managed 1 between 2 boats. Every boat I passed as well said they had nothing in the livewell, tough bite.
Went out this evening (Sat) behind Ram Island and felt like a Sheepherder, couldn’t keep them off. Managed a few Pike as well so at least something is biting. Used bottom bouncer, Erie Dearies and Rapala clacker. Give it another go tomorrow and hopefully it gets better.
Tim

Fishing was a bit tough, that storm that came through last week chewed up the weed beds. I managed 6 fish yesterday, 3 small, 2 keepers, 1 fish 4lbs. Big Bay and Belleville area is coughing up some fish still.

Just a little FYI we had a fun little tourney with a few friends yesterday and managed 8 walleye between 5 boats. Almost every fish that was caught spit up large shad and perch while in the livewell. I have never seen that before, I mean maybe the odd one would do that, but literally all 8 fish were spitting up baitfish. My best guess is that before the storm came along they put on the feedbag big time.

Hello...i mostly fish out of Kingston and have been having the same results. I have been fishing my usual spots and a bunch of other spots with poor results. One thing i have noticed is the lack of weed growth on the shoals i usually fish. My good freind has been out quite a bit and he has had no sucess as well. I did get a nice brown trout in the 10-12lb range that hit a 6inch clackin minnow and had a 6 inch shad sticking out of his mouth. I must say it is a puzzling.

Funny you mention that, the 2 fish i kept yesterday coughed up some bait as well. I also noticed HUGE schools of bait fish both on the sounder and on the surface. Good sign.
