Places to fish and stay in Ottawa region of Ontario?

Will be coming to Ottawa region of Ontario in the beginning of August 2012. Any recommendations on places to fish and stay? Targeting Small Mouth Bass and Northern Pike. Thank you.

Hello,

I live 20 minutes West of Ottawa. Lots of places to fish for bass and pike. More details would make it easier for recommendations........

do you have a boat

are you looking to stay at a resort on a lake or river or hotel and drive to fishing locations

how close to Ottawa are you thinking

is this a "hardcore" fishing trip or a family vacation with a bit of fishing

Have 16 ft fiberglass skiff with 25 HP motor and 55 lb trust trolling moter.
Bed and Breakfast on water or close buy if possible.
Approximately within 1 hour or less of Ottawa.
Family vacation with mom and daughter taking in area and dad and son are pretty much "hardcore" fisherman.

in the valley...muskrat lake in cobden and calabogie lake have both those species and fishing can be good.

White Lake is also a productive fishing lake for bass and pike. Water front cottage rentals available as well.
