Well I made up a cargo\canoe rack for the 4-wheeler on Saturday, loaded it up with fishing, camping gear and my two little boys and make the trek into Lingham Lake Saturday afternoon.

We got camp all set up and went out for an evening fish and managed a dozen 1-2 lbers on top water. Talk about fun.
We stayed up late roasting marshmellows with fellow fishermen and got up in the morning for another paddle around. A wacky rigged watermelon worm seemed to be the hot item and my sons had a blast reeling a number of largies and smallies. No big ones, but lots of action and lots of laughs.

This is why I love bass fishing...

Adventure,
You are laying the foundation there for many many years of father son trips. Kudos to you and those boys

Was into lingham for opening weekend with our crewe of 12............annual trip!! The lake is as high as I have seen it in recent memory. Fishing was phenominal with our group live releasing in excess of over 300 bass. Shore lunch's were amazing to say the least!! Road in is same as always....take ur time. We tow our 14 foot tinny in with our atv with little problems but ya just have to take your time. Overall opening weekend on Lingham was as great as I have seen in many years!!
