To all Anglers participating in the Quinte Fishing Series on July 7/8 we will have a card and donation box on hand for Peter Thompson and family. As many of you know Pete has been fighting Leukemia since last fall. This has involved many trips to Kingston for treatments, hospital stays, equipment rentals, gas, parking fees and numerous other costs not covered.
On June 28th in the evening a few of us went to visit Pete. He disclosed to us that the cancer had returned. In consultation with his doctor his options were to either take another round of very potent chemo while staring at 4 walls and a ceiling in a hospital away from home with a very small chance of success or to spend some time surrounded by family and loved ones in the comfort of his own home. Peter has chosen to be home with family.
Peter has given many of us decades of top notch tournaments as Director both with the Quinte Fishing Series and in the old days with GM Pro Bass. No one can argue the professionalism, high standard of service and integrity he brought to each and every event to ensure we all had a fun day of fishing. Please keep Pete and family in your thoughts and prayers and show him with your generosity how much you appreciate him. Card and donation box will be on hand at the tournament.
