how does everyone feel about being told to get the huts off the lakes by feb 28? do you think its a good idea or bad. Is there safety concerns? Anyone have an opinion?

I would say the hut removal date should line up with the end of Walleye Season which is Feb 29.

While anglers can still fish for Pike (till March 31) and Perch/Crappie on the bay, I would say removing the huts at the end of February is good cause the weather is warming up and the ice is melting. You can always ice fish without a hut in March (but not for Walleye) and since the weather is warmer you may not actually need a hut.

Cheers,

Mike
