It fought a great deal like a lake trout without the head shakes. How do you net a net?
The net lists for $85 so I'm not complaining. I had even mentioned I needed a longer handled net earlier in the morning,

Congratulations on catching the very elusive Silver Hoop Net Fish. I have been seeking this baby for many years now but always seem to come up short. Truly a trophy worthy to take up space on your boat. Well done men.... LoL

I have a better one. I was fishing the Black river at Dexterr N.Y. we were trolling when suddenly something hit my lure. I would fight the "fish" and had a hard time gaining on it. After a 5 minute struggle where I thought I had moby dick on I landed a 20' section of 1/2" chain! I was pissed!

I also caught a Uglystick rod with a nice Penn spinning reel in Black River a couple years ago. Nearly new condition.
