Out scouting (Bancroft Area) today with the family and was hopping to find access to Long lake seemed to be access from the west side but its private and gated. We ran just and I mean just short of trail on the south east side (major swamp land). Blue sea lakes same thing came very close on the north end but ended up looping around Tommy and Currie. Any help would be great.

If you're referring to Long Lake about 7 klicks East of Haliburton, it is linked with Lake Miskwabi on the East side. You can usually access Long Lake via the free launch ramp on Miskwabi. Go North on Trappers Trail about 5 klicks to the ramp on left side of road. With these low water levels, you'll have to go out a fair bit from the ramp to reach deep water to launch.

Usually there's easy access to Long Lake from the West side of Miskwabi, but again the low water may require lifting the motor to get thru the link.

If you're traveling a fair distance to get there, can't promise you it's worth the effort. Keep an eye peeled for submerged stuff on Long Lake.
