Al, aka Trannyman, I was down at the shore yesterday and today and what I thought was splashing around was carp, turned out to be Salmon. I didn't think much about them yesterday, but this afternoon they swam up to my docks and sure enough there was a pair of big black Salmon. They were splashing around most of the day half way between you and I (behind Sylvia's). I guess your babies are coming home to you. I have never seen them come this far down the lake. Dave

My wife and I go and watch the fry being released every year. It's amazing.

Thanks Al for all your hard work.

Dave,

I get them on my shore every year. Very cool.

I was in Nappanee today and went to the falls. Very cool to see the salmon running up the falls and all around in the shallows. Amazing that such a large majestic fish finishes their life in such shallow rivers. Very cool indeed.

Scott

An interesting note regarding our local salmon, are the short transition they have between being a nice silver to being black, coming from Lake Ontario to the falls in Napanee. I have seen them go much greater distances like on the Fraser in BC with far less discoloration till they hit the home stretch.

Thanks for the reports. Nice to hear.

Dave, they have been around my dock for 2 weeks. Good return this year. Frank and Tanya told me they were molesting their duck decoys last week up the creek.
