Hi guys,

Hope everyone is enjoying the fall season. I'm looking to buy an underwater camera to use while ice fishing and had a few questions about them. Can anyone recommened a reasonably priced unit? Also, does the camera have any effect on the fish? I'm just wondering if it would spook walleye.

Thanks,

Mike

I did a lot of research before chosing a camera. I also used a couple different brands (friends that had them) before making a purchase. I settled with a low end Marcum. It seemed to have the best picture for the $. Colored units are nice but murky / dark waters and low light the color is useless. I would stick with a black and white model. I have had it 5 season now with no issues. I have not noticed fish being spooked by the camera unless the camera gets moved when they are close.
