Made it out around 11am fished until 4:30pm. Launced at Loyalist Marina. I have a 19 foot Legend and it was tough sluggin today. Made the quick run across to the south side of Amerest Island to try and stay out of wind. Was by myself. Just to get rigger set was a real challenge. Trolled to the west side of the gap ran a rigger at 50 feet with a silver spoon on one rod and a long line reef runner on the other rod. Marked a lot of fish. Stacked anywhere from 20 feet all the way day to 60 feet, like cord wood! Trolled multiple colous on both spoon and reef runner, nothing hitting anything. Water was at 53 degrees. zipped across to the north side of the reach and trolled from LAfarge back to the marina. Had a strike on the rigger at 50 feet, just in front of Frinkles launch. Good size fish, had him on for about 15-20 seconds, but lost him when he swam at the boat. Let the tension off as i was dicking around with my rigger and motor and lost him.....damn
...........went home after that was feeling sea sick from fighten the waves.........Mission
