Had a great afternoon out fishing with “Always hopeful” (Rob). Did a pass in front of the Cement Plant, marking nothing. We had a visit from the MNR doing information gathering then headed to Thompsons where there was a lot of boats jigging (never saw a net dipped the whole time). Trolled through a few times then pulled lines and headed east. 20 minutes in, the rod started jumping and Rob was into his first walleye ever, 6.5lbs. Caught on chrome with red striped TD11-150ft back up the middle near Keith’s Shoal. Now I have something to put in the Angler Diary Program… Congrats Rob on a great fish.

Was out this afternoon as well and talked with MNR. They said there were few reports of walleye being caught. Good you got one. We caught one sheep and lost what we believe was a big sheep but we never saw it. Down by the bat cave.

South shore a couple miles east of Glenora ferry. I caught a 12lber a few hundred yards east of it today out over 90 fow, but was quiet outside of that.
