Hey Guys.
I have to ask the question if anyone has put any time into fishing picton bay?
I got 2 fish out of the bay this past weekend but that was after spending each morning and the better part of the day east of the ferry with nothing to show for it.I wish i would have had a 3rd day just to stay in picton bay for the day but of course you get the extra 2 lines so away we go!!!

Well I have spent a bit of time in Picton bay with poor results...the lure to fish an extra rod is pretty hard to pass up,especially if the fish are not jumping in the boat on the west side. The majority of the anglers so (from what I have seen) west of the ferry are jigging at Thompson

My friend and I towed a Ranger back to Picton launch on Sat PM, we decided to check out the bay afterwards when it was completely dark.
There were tons and tons of baitfish right outside the speed zone and north towards the opening. We trolled stickbaits, cast soft body baits, nada!
The water was less than 20 feet deep, and didn't notice any larger hooks on sonar.
They were 3-4" long, hard to say its gizzard shad or minnows. We could see them with our flash lights.
