Laker John and I hit the water at 0800 and made a pass up in Hay Bay, water was 43 Degs F and we marked very few fish.

Headed to Long Reach and trolled the high shore between Shermans and Thompsons, made three passes with a few fish seen.

WHERE ARE THE FISH?????????????????????

Headed to Huffs Shoal and made two long passes up there with no results and not many fish on the graph.

Talked to MNR and was told they had talked to some guys from NY who had ONE!!!!! everybody else had nothing to show for their time on the water.

We called it a day at 1400 and headed home.

Water in Long Reach was 43 degs also. Fifteen boats jigging at Thompson - talked to guy at the ramp who had been out all day and hadn't seen a net overthe side.

Jeez Louise - what's going on??????????????????

Try again next weekend - Stay Tuned.

Dave this is a response to your recent tough outing . The fish are now in water that is colder 45 or less degrees. And very much shallow surfers so or more. When your boat is drifting or trolling the fish are dispersing rather quickly out to the sides of boats and not visible to your cone angle or showing much deeper than they really are. The magority of hungry active fish are up in the top 12 feet of water so you need to get your shallow running fast tracks(jointed) or shallow diving baits way out to the sides 75 feet with planar boards and back 100 yds off the boards, you also needs to box those fish as I showed you or go in very large circles speeding up those followers as they take the baits at speed changes very softly sometimes not even releasing the clips . Good luck my friend Blue in morning firetiger or black in overcast flouresecent orange after dusk these patterns have always worked for me as I am seldom fishless
sincerely, Ken your friend in Pa.
ps the fishing here in Pa has been GREAT the past few weeks.
and as you always have said tight lines !
