Quinte Fishing

My holidays start this week, and as per the usual I will be heading to west lake for a day or two of diver hunting.

Just wondering what the water level is like, and if I launch the boat in Wellington if i will have trouble getting out the channel to the main lake. It was real shallow last fall, and with already low water levels I cannot figure it being any better this year.

I lauched twice in September....first time I hit bottom leaving the channel......bottom was only 30" deep max.
I have a 25 ' boat, so the second time I had my buddy stand on the front with the motor totally trimmed up, we made it out and back in just fine.
There was a good storm in early Septemebr that blew straight up the channel and filled the mouth in with sand.
I am sure you won't have any issues as long as you take your time, and keep your trim up when you approach the mouth to head out into the lake.
