I just thought i would throw a line in for 5-10 mins just to kill some time this evening on the way home from buying an ice rod and reel. I never thought i would be lucky enough to land this EYE on my 3rd cast. Not too bad for 5 minutes of fishing.

No not on the ice rod. I always have my other setup in the trunk in case such a situation arises where i feel that i NEED to fish for a couple minutes. I think im gonna plan an outing to the same spot tomorrow night at around the same time for an hour or so and see if i was just lucky tonight.

PB's are always a good thing.

Congrats - take that young lad out fishing too - he looks keen.

Not going to share location so that we can all be shoulder to shoulder on the shoreline ? Lol
J/k nice land eye

Ironically enough, the largest eye I've ever gotten was a land eye that almost won a derby prize yrs ago lol

Nice fish for the table. Now that I'm back working local and home every day, I think I'll have to give some of the old favorites a try again.
