Hey guys,

Well, I would agree... the walleye bite has been tough!! However, don't kid yourself, there are LOTS of walleye in the Bay right now.

I hit the Bay with friends for 3 days, Day1: 9/11, Day2: 6/6, Day3: 6/7...

Each day we hit the water @ 6:00am, and off by 4:00pm ish. All fish were hit off boards and assorted Reefs, back from 120' to 180'...

One of the things that we figured out, when we hit Walleye there was VERY little bait in the area. When we started to mark big bait balls, we marked the spot and tried to stay away from that area. When we hit fish, we clearly noticed good active hooks in the 20' to 40' range...

We also changed baits up like crazy and worked different depths (Like MAD) until we got fish to go!! We just constantly tweaked everything until we hit success: Speed, Depth, Location, Bait (Shape, Size, Color) etc...

The best part, is this made the hunt for big eyes SO much fun... (and it's only getting better).

Here are a few pics of 3 awesome days...

Cheers, Hodgey...
