Headed out from Merland Park Friday morning at 7 a.m with some strong South winds. Figured I'd hit the south shore of Adolphus to stay out of the wind. Started trolling just east of the ferry with my huge 3 rod spread  Trolled back and forth from ferry to Keiths shoal, marking bait balls and fish, but no action. Around 9 a.m we got a hit, and landed a 6 pounder on a TDD11 Clown pattern. Kept trolling the same area, and landed another fish 9.2 pounds, on TDD11 Purpledescent. The rain started, and I noticed the fish seemed to have moved up a bit in the water column, so I switched up my lures to Rapala TT 20's. Ended up landing 2 more Wallys...9.5 and 9.8 No more action after about 1 p.m.

Saturday was a brutal W/NW wind, so I headed over to the cement plant to avoid the wind, and trolled that shoreline for about 3-4 hours with no action, then decided to head back to the cottage.

Tied my PB from last year at 9.8, but have yet to hit double digits. Maybe next year.
Considering I didn't even think I was going to get on the water with the strong winds, we did alright.

Good Luck out there guys!!!

Here's a few pics.
Excuse the goofy looks on our faces, but it was windy and raining, and it wasn't very comfortable in the 16 footer

Forgot to mention, but water temps were between 40-45 at different spots. All fish were caught at 1.4-1.7mph.

Thanks for sharing your fishing trip - Saturday the wind was brutal and you all felt it out there in the Reach.

Thanks guys. Was a great weekend. Wish I could have spent more time on the water. It's kinda funny. You book a cottage for 3 nights/4 days, but you only get to fish 2 days. First day, by the time you check in, you only have a couple of hours to fish before dark, and the fourth day, you have to pack up and leave. Sucks when the weather is not in your favor and you lose a day.

I'll have to book it for a week next year
