Quinte Fishing

Made the trip from Ottawa yesterday, very cold day on the water! We were off from Picton at 830, rods and kicker were frozen but with a little work and a mr buddy heater we had lines set in no time! Trolled picton bay from 9-1ish, 2 nice 9 pounders within the first hour, then died off, we headed to huff's, not much action around there. We then moved to the mouth of Hay Bay and managed another 9 pounder, 3 identical fish! Back to picton bay for a final troll before dark but no luck. Ended the day 3 for 3. Thanks to Sheldon Hatch and partner John for having us out! John's hand must be made of walleye skin or something, didn't have gloves on all day and his fingers didn't fall off. Very hard working team and a great big boat! Even BBQ'd us sausages. Great day with a couple great guys!

Good on you Jay, I was in the red Lund around Huffs...the guy who made John wind in the outside board really quick!
