We started in Picton Bay at 8:45 am. The water was like glass. We got an 8 lber at about 9:30 on a Mann's 20 firetiger 80 back (about 20 feet down). Got another at 10:20 on another Mann's that loks a lot like the firetiger, same colours, just spots all over it. Then a hit on the firetiger again, but gone once we got the rod in hand. Things seemed to die down and most all the boats migrated out of the bay. We went to Thompsons Point, lots of boats there, mostly jigging, marked a few active fich, no takers so headed further down Long Reach. Nothing doing there, so we headed east, set up a 4 rod spread at the bat cave trolling east with the wind. Between 2:30 and 4:30 we got 2 more for a 4 fish day. Last 2 were carbon copies of the ones we got in Picton Bay, an 8 and a 7.5. One on firetiger again (80 back), the other on TT20, 140 back. A great day to be on the water, and the east wind didn't seem to hurt the action in the afternoon, also saw a couple of other nets in the water, so the walleye may be waking up. Water temp was 40 in Picton Bay, and 45 out by the bat cave.

Thanks for the update hal...yes it certainly was a beauty day to be out so late in the season. I was out too, mostly around Shermans and was fortunate enough to boat a 5, 7 and 10lb'er...all on TDD 11 clown's, 120 ft back. Marking tons and tons of fish with many in the 25ft depth range which is nice to see.
Agree completely on the east wind too...didn't seem to have much impact on Mondays bite...hoping to get out Friday too :D
