Quinte Fishing

Just letting everyone know Deseronto has pulled there dock out. I was down there on Wednesday and had the boat all ready to put in the water and a town truck pulled in and I asked him how long they were leaving the docks in for and he said they were pulling them out right now. Glad I was a little late getting there or it wouldn't have been very fun when I came back in. Feel bad for the guy who had already launched and had left to go fishing. So off to Picton we went to launch. Thanks to the guys who broke the ice up before we got there.
By the way the hump is fixed in Deseronto, but all they did was pull the hump back into the hole at the end of the pad. You have to back out farther in the lake now to get your boat off the trailer. I guess it won't matter now as I can't see any big boats putting in there with the docks pulled out.

The dock has been removed for the season from the Deseronto boat launch. It will be reinstalled in the spring of 2013. And the boat launch has been levelled out to reduce the large build up of gravel/debris that has been occuring. If anyone has suggestions for further improvements that could be made, please forward them to dvalentyne@deseronto.ca. The Town will be completing further upgrades in the spring/summer of 2013, and welcomes suggestions for improvements & feedback from boaters using the launch.
