I understand that the gabian baskets are to be replaced, repaired at Springside Park. I was under the impression that all maintenance "ordained", by Fisheries and Oceans had to be conducted out of prime spawning seasons?

The timing by the feds stinks in this, given that the walleye are or should be running. I remain unimpressed and would hope that they compensate in some way (eg. do some habitate work like cleaning some shoals, new shoals, etc etc.; anything less s criminal).

Please let me know if my information regarding this is wrong.....I would like it to be, and I have the utmost respect for select powers that be (timing and common sense need to come into play here).
