I have listened to a lot of PWT pros complain about Lake Winnabego being a "cigar factory". I will say this though . What an awsome diversity of a fishery this place is. Imagine a lake that is 27 miles long and 11 miles wide that is almost exactly like Big Bay on Quinte. Then add a 1000 reefs that top out at anywhere from 12 feet to 2 feet in depth, some of which are 1000 acres in size. Also add a river system with 3 connecting lakes all max 12 feet deep. Man , what a nightmare. I love this place. No other walleye water I have seen can compare to complexity of this one. I enlisted the help of a fellow from Fon du Lac to help me with the prefishing task. Rick is passionate about his fishing and taught me this time and last how to fish the Winne reefs. For this time of year it was anchoring with slip bobbers that was the ticket. I had the bite all to myself. Not one other Pwt boat on my spots. Prefishing was fair to excellent. I caught limits on all but one of the prefish days. My goal was 6 legal fish a day. This will GUARANTEE you a check in this system. Weather change became a factor and my bite changed. 4 fish WED . 0 day 2 and 3 fish on Fri. A bunch of short fish added to the mix and you got yourself an 88th place. Oh well , I beat Ted takasaki and Daryll Christiensen so I feel a little better. Holt sh-- were ther ever a lot of Tracker Tundras there this year. Thanks for your support guys. I promise to do better in Cleveland.

Get em on Erie - Tom.

Quintefishing.com is rooting for you.

We've heard and read lots about that lake in Wisconsin and your explanation helps us to understand what they are writing about in the walleye mags.

Nothing but 8 lbers in Erie !!!!!
