Went out fishing early today, tried long reach but no takers. tried thompson's cove and no luck. However we got 5 walleye in front of the old church on the south shore. We had 2 of our rigs eaten by a pike or large walleye. The walleye were all small fish 17" approximately and released. All caught on swan spinners, nickel blade with chartreuse beads.
Saw Jerry,Ken and Joe from bayview. Good to see them again. Everyone was fishing hard and long for the number of fish caught....Larry

I was wondering who that was that said hi this morning  Sorry HBL, I had my back to ya' and Joanne said someone greeted us by name and by the time I turned around I wasn't able to recognize ya' from far (the eyesight isn't what it used to be). That was us honkin' and waving at you when you were backing the truck in the driveway though.

Saturday we had five between 15 and 19 1/2 inches, 2 hammer handle pike, 2 sheephead and numerous Jumbo Perch. All on the orange Uzicks. One of the fish was caught at Carp Cove and the remainder of the fish were caught at the Church.

Sunday, 2 pike around 5 lbs a piece, a few more Jumbo Perch and 4 'eyes between 14 - 18 inches. My parents showed up around 1 pm and I told 'em where to go (fishing that is) and my mom had 3 including one 23 incher. I also had a run in with something big that took one of my orange Uzick's

Anyways, looks like the bite is heating up. Back up Thursday night.

Tight lines all.

Ken
