Greetings all....thought I would fill you in on what is happening on the other side of the border....fishing has been spotty...until today ...son in law and I picked up a 10, 10.5, 10, 3, 3, and a bonus 10 Brown trout...trolling with inline planer boards, DHJ, firetiger, 80 feet behind the boards, over 28 to 32 feet of water....caught on the west side of Pt Pennisula, probably could have picked up one more to fill out our limit of three a piece if the women hadn;t been expecting us for dinner. On the water at 7, fished until noon...troll speed 1.8 to 2.2 miles per hour...boy that trollmaster works great.....only two passes where we didn't pick up a fish...even had 14 pound northern...would post a pic..but don't know how.

thanks for the report. Sounds like the spawners from here have recouped from spawning and made the big swim across the pond. Make sure you point them back towards Quinte when you release them. lol! Keep us posted.

Not sure about the big swim....think these are local fish....didn't have any custom stamps on them or gst tax stamps.....lol.....first time I have hit them like that...except on a charter....now....if I can convince my son in law...promise to release in the future. More fun to catch and would rather eat the smaller fish....

Dare..Thanks for the report! I've been looking all over for reports on that area! We'll be fishing out of Mud Bay this coming weekend and your report has really boosted my hopes! We haven't fished the area in years (usually fish eastern Erie), but have relatives that just move there and have to try it out. If I get any Quinte fish..I'll pat them on the fin and send them back! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
