I heard yesterday that the body was recovered on wednesday. He was in a 12' aluminum fishing Big Bay. A very fierce system went through with winds reported at 90 km/hr. The system went through quickly. Some workers had seen him before the system went through but after it passed he was gone. His boat, tackle and lifejacket were found by search and rescue. He was a past local and was down visiting from Ottawa.
Lifejacket was in the boat.
P.S. For you guys on the bay the OPP are stepping up boat inspections for safety equipment and alcohol. It seems last weekend some guy passed out drunk in his boat while driving. He was arrested and charged.
