Going to bring the wife out in my new to me boat for my first soft water adventure on the boq, normally only ice fish out there. Any ideas on where I have a good chance of getting her a walleye close to Trenton this time of year? She is getting tired of rice and scugog skunks and little guys.

Thanks in advance
LJ

If your getting skunked on Rice you haven't much chance on BOQ.We have been hitting 20-30 walleye a morning for the last month and a half fishing one or two days a week.

I could be wrong but, Rice Lake has had a slot size for a number of years. Sounds like it has really paid off. Personally, I'm a fan of slot sizes. Maintains a stable, healthy fishery.

The last 3 years the fishing has been fantastic on Rice, the slot is working well there.Find the weed lines and you will find the fish trolling or jigging them works well.
