My friends invited me to go the Hay Bay for an one week fishing trip. They told me the bass fishing is amazing from their experience of years ago and it is much better than rice lake. We planned to find a "bass-everywhere" lake to spend the vacation weeks in summers.
But after reviewing this forum, it seems BOQ and HayBay's fishing result was very poor for a couple of years. Some posts scared me that even a local angler was skunked and forced to go bass fishing to other lakes around Kingston.
I need your advice... Is Hay bay changed that dramatically these years? should we change the trip plan for Kingston lakes or we should stick to hay bay bass adventure? Which lake is the productive-on-bass-fishing lake?

Wow, that replys fast and thank you Bryan.
So, basically it is drifting around weed pockets. I checked the HayBay Map, only east end has enough weed beds. The deep water is everywhere at the mouth (walleye water...) So I can leave the Heavy Rod and punching weight home :)

The whole of Hay Bay is good LM bass and alot of decent smallie waters too. I live by Shermans point and can generally count on at least a handfull of 3-4lb largies between perfect vue and the boat launch. Lots of weeds bud, not to worriy

The LM fish result is not very well. The weed is not established for the LM and the cold front hits may be another factor.
Tried and get nothing around perfect vue. Ram island produced a few fish and most fish caught at the south of the Glen island weedy areas.
