I live in Amherstview and fish with a 16.5 ft boat w/ 90 Hp / trolling plate / 1 x down rigger. Would like my first shot at salmon fishing on Lake Ontario this weekend, either sat or sun if the winds stay down. Not sure where to go. If main duck islands are a good place this time of year I can leave from finckles and out thru the gap, if port hope or other location is better I do not know where the boat ramps are. Any and all advice would be appreciated.
Right now on my own so anybody that has experience and knowledge of the areas looking to go out send a PM with your phone number.
Cheers Robert

I would hit port hope for sure. Take the first exit and head south all the way to the lake. I'd start up in shallow In the mouth and work my way out. They should be angling out there.
