We were able to get out on Sat the 26th for a short while before the wind blew us off the water for the day. I picked up a 19 incher and a 17 incher on the Charteuse Uzick near the Pig Farm.

On the 27th, the wind was still blowing and I picked up four between 14 & 17 inches, all on the Chartruse close to the Green Buoy at Ram Is.

Fished Sunday evening with Hay Bay Larry, trolled by the pig farm and over by Bayview Resort, I got a 16" fish on the Chartruse.

On Monday I went roaming, trying the Old Church Ramp area, Thompsons Cove, Shermans Pt, Carp Cove, Kingscourt WeedBed and Ram Is. Only had one fish on the Chartruse.

Tried again Tuesday AM, with wind blowing big waves and whitecaps, fishing in the lee of the wind near Ram I, trolling a crank along the weed, got a SM Bass and one eye- 13" Others trolling and drifting between the pig farm and Ram Is did very well ( some friends had 6 in total).

I got an nice 17.5" just off the south-east point of Ram Is in 11' of water on the Orange Uzick.

As Hay Bay Larry mentioned in his post, the weather patterns appear to be playing havoc with the fish as well as the shad invasion - although they appear to be less and less schools of baitfish on the graph.

People are getting some but not the numbers from last year.

Nice to meet and talk to Mr Twister last weekend - they had fabulous day with the bass as everyone has seen from his pix.

Back to fish in a couple of weeks.

Tight Lines

PS - Best of luck to Kevin Lavers in North Bay at the Fish N Canada 'reality show'

Good report Superdad!

Hoping to get down that way in a couple weeks or so!

Sounds like a slow year around there, as Hay Bay Larry says though, it should pick up! Strange year for sure, weather wise :!:

Thanks for the update Superdad. I've wanted to try it in the mouth of the lake in Brighton but the wind, well.....blows.
