Hi All,
New to the forum and happy to say that I fulfilled a long time dream of owning a cottage on BOQ this year. I'm still one of the die hards that hasn't pulled the boat or dock out yet. Was out on Saturday and landed a 34" pike on Long Reach, lots of boats out on gorgeous day. Probably the last we'll see in a while. Was anyone else out on Long Reach? How did you do?

Back to my subject question. Is the launch ramp still useable at Sherman's Point? I know the dock has been pulled but I've also heard there's a big drop at the end of the concrete ramp. I think I'm going to have to give-in and pull the boat out this weekend, I don't think my dock can take any more abuse from the winds this week. Any other launches in the Long Reach area still useable?

Thanx

Yes, the dock is out at Shermans and yes there's a bit of a hole off the cement pad, but you can load or unload your boat right beside the pad using the gravel beach. Watch you don't go to far in the water, it's easier to load your boat there when the wind is really bad.

There were some trailers off the pad on Saturday, but by going slow and easy they were able to get their rigs out with no trouble.

Thanx David!
Gotta say, I love reading your posts, keep them coming. Hope to meet you on or off the water some day, I'd love to pick your brain.

Cheers,
