Great fall day for getting some nice eating sized walleye. The only thing better than the fish biting was the comedy show of anglers and their antics.
It was almost like opening weekend out there this afternoon. I witnessed crossed lines and vessels barely worthy of floating.
Highlite of the afternoon was watching the parking antics at the launch sites - some fella's taking 8 to 10 approaches to load/unload their boats. The best one of the day was the two gentleman launching their aluminum: as the driver pulls the trailer out, the boat goes sideways on trailer, damaging their fenders and lights. As both stare at their boat 10 feet up the launch sideways at it in bewilderment (and I mean sideways), I chuckled at how they debated on how to "fix" their situation - they agreed to back down into the water again and float it off.
Still wished Quinte hadn't rushed (again) to take out the docks so early - maybe this is something we can approach them on for future seasons.
Be safe out there for what's left of our fall fishing, fella's!!
