I just ordered a pair of Baffin Ice Bears , apparently ultra-lite weight and -50C rating. Head to the reserve to save $ on good boots. I'll let you know how the Ice Bears make out, next season.

p.s. they are apparently highly recommended by someone one the Bay that is a Reverend? :)

edited: I ordered the NEW Non-Safety version. Price $155 period.

x 2 Arctic Pros' worth every penny. Warm as can be, 100% waterproof to the the top and LIGHT. Comfy and not so warm that they can't be worn any time of year. I don't know how they made this boot not too hot when it's not winter and warm enough for brutally cold long days on the ice....but I would never buy a different pair. Had mine 2 seasons and no wear and tear at all.

I have a pair of battery heated boots from Marks world, they have 3 heat settings, They are great but costly. I see that
Cdn Tire has battery heated insoles that operate on a remote control from your pocket. Around $125. I heard good things about them.

Well, I've had these boots for two weeks now... I can not tell you how light and warm these boots are. Highly recommended!

5 years up in Labrador and Nunavut and found the baffins the best for ice fishing and snowmobiling, would not wear them if working, way to hot
Cheers Rob
