Quinte Fishing

I just bought a 2003 Yamaha 115 4stroke motor with 40 hours on it.
Came with the gauges controls, throttle cable etc complete.
My old motor is already removed. Marina's want $500-600 to install this motor saying it takes 5-6 hours. I cant see how that is possible. I have a forklift and some man power to help get the motor up to the back of the boat. Other than centering the motor on the back ( which should pretty much be where the other factory installed 115 was) what should I know?

I plan on mounting the motor with the 4 bolts, running the steering cable throught, mounting the throttle, attaching the throttle linkages, poppin in my two new gauges and pluggin all the factory plugs, and attaching the power cable.

to me it doesnt seem like a 5-6 hour job, is this all there is to it? Are there any tricks to mounting a motor?

Try getting a second quote from anther Yamaha dealer. J & P Marine in belleville is a yamaha dealer. here's a link to their website. http://www.jpmarine.reach.net
