We decided to go fishing, as a dry run and equipment/boat check over, before the cold weather comes. When the water temp is pushing 35 is not the time to see if everything is working, especially the kicker 8hp. We arrived and started fishing near the ferry line. Water temp was 50F. We setup and were running a deep diver in white 150 feet from the planer board and 75 feet out from the boat. Trolling speed was 1.5-2.0 mph. About 45 minutes later I saw the flag was down on the board. I wasn’t sure it was a fish since I haven’t caught a fall eye in a couple of seasons. Finally get this big ole eye on the scale and it weighs just over 11lbs. Nice birthday present- Bragging rights of biggest eye among my buddies.

Hey Ken ,It was fun helping you bring in that giant walleye. I do not think your weigh scale did you justice as it felt more like a 12lb dude. Congratulation and remember we are taking turns . HA ha

You must be thinking of my brother Danny. I catch small mouth bass like crazy. As far as perch goes, you have to be able to catch the small ones before you can tango with the big ones. SO THERE. Cymbals.
