So I purchased a vex fl8 last season. I fished with the standard 19degree ducer for most of it but at end of season had the opportunity to pick up a tri beam for next to nothing, so I did. Now when I look at the specs on the specs on the genz pack it states " fits all vex ducers". Well it ain't so. My tri beam doesn't fit on the holes at all. Anyone else notice this? Is there a new piece I can put in to fit it? Right now it just sits in the side in the cord space.

your tri- beam must not be a vex tri-beam because the tranducers have all the same fittings and there all interchangeable, check there web site.

Are you talking about the transducer itself not fitting into the spot on the Genz Pack for the transducer to rest in? If that is what you are referring to then yes there is an adapter you can get. This adapter comes with the Tri-Beam transducer when you buy it new. I have one here if you need it $5 plus tax and shipping.

If you are having trouble with the transducer plug going into the back of the unit then I have no idea there...As everyone else said they work with all Vexilar flashers.
