Was reading for area 20 (lake Ontario) under the exceptions... "two lines may be used when angling from a boat in open wather."are permitted when in a boat, fishing open water..... Does that mean that only one line is permitted ice fishing? Or am I reading way too much ito this? So my question is can you use a dead stick ice fishing the BOQ?

You gotta be careful with those MNR guy's , they'll search ya, that's why I prefer to keep my bare hands on my rod at ALL times..A Deadly Dick has been my most important weapon I've used for the Big Girls but don't let the MNR know that, they'l thry to squeeze that info outta ya.

You can use 2 lines when ice fishing.

However you do need to be within 60m of the line and there need to be a clear unobstructed view of the line.
