Not a Quinte report, but sometimes, fishing is fishing. The Splake were active this past week-end. Ended up with five and two average perch.

Ice was about 3-4 incheds in most places...lots of snow...
Fishing in 15-20 FOW with pickeral rigs (three hooks spanning about 2 feet) in the middle of the column.
All were taken with just a hook and minnow. They were not interestd in any type of lure...with meat or without...

nice job and beauty fish. Thats a perfect representation of how different splake can look. Sometimes you would swear they were lakers other times nicely painted up like brookies.
