shopping hard for one . need honest advice of board members &guests what is the best deal & value for a flasher likes& dislikes thanks for any response . bye the way still no minnows in Trenton.

Hey I just bought my first flasher this season I went with the ice 55 hummingbird used it a few times and it is a great unit love everything about it sofar price was 499.00 plus tax but I have heard there hard to find now

I use a flasher similar to the Ice 55. I prefer the Vexilar FL20 with a Tri-beam transducer. Check out all the Vexilar models at Radioworld. Delivery of units is usually no longer than 2 days. They may even sell the Humminbird products.

I just got a vex fl8 se and love it.. Now its just an entry level flasher but its $150 cheaper than the ice 55. I got it from radio world online and it was $350 shipped to my door but that was with there no tax event at the start of december! Shipping from toronto to belleville was $20 and took 3 days. Radio world sells lots of diffrent flashers, check there web site www.radioworld.ca

just got new MarCum VX-1P LOVE IT!!! relatively lower cost so I guess its entry level, but has the bottom zoom, and good to 160 ft depth.... All I need that's for sure

i have owned a vexlar fl 20 for 8 or 9 years now never skips a beat had to replace battery last year . i take it in my four wheeler to the back lakes all the time, and on my sled very durable

Was at the Radioworld Ice Fishing Seminar a few weeks ago, and was told that the Humminbird has a faster response time than the Vexilar. And no, it wasn't from a Humminbird rep...lol If you want to save a few bucks, I don't think you need a top of the line unit to get the job done. I have a Bird Ice 45, and I can see my lure, minnow and small fish (perch) on the screen. I can even see ice build up on my line....What more do you need?? Not sure about the Vex units, but the Bird fits in my pail. I just stuff a towel in there so it doesn't rattle around, and it has a nice secure lid.

i have the ice 35 from humming bird i refuse to fish with out it works great i paid 399 + tax at crappie tire

Have had my ice 55 for 4years now i believe. I got it when the model was first on the market and paid just over 600 after tax. Theyve come down in price a bit since then. Only flasher ive ever owned so dont have anything to compare it too but it's definately a great unit. Couldnt imagine going back to fishing "blind"
