I am coming up this weekend for the first time ice fishing there, and will be bringing my 12yr old nephew hoping to catch our first ice walleye, I have fished Picton a few times few yrs ago, but never the upper bay so i m wondering if someone could please recommend a good hotel for the weekend? doesnt need to be 5 star, as long as a timmies is nearby and some good restaurants close by... I would like to spoil him with eating good food, and if we get lucky maybe a fish fry on the ice. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Location: The Mighty St. Lawrence
Can't go wrong with the Fox Motor Inn in Napanee. Prices are right and location is good for fishing and good eats.

Cheers and best of luck.

I just stayed at the Fox Motor Inn last weekend. It's a good spot if you wanna fish from Deseronto to Hay Bay. If you wanna fish from Trenton to Belleville, I would stay at the Park Lane Motel in Belleville. It's also very close for fishing, Pro Tackle and food/beer. Potters is only 2 minutes away, and Point Anne, Herchimer, George Street, Aikens Rd are also pretty close.

Good Luck!!

thank you very much guys for all the help I greatly appreciate it. Seems I went from not knowing to now having lots to choose from haha. Again thanks guys. This is a very important trip to me, my nephew has never iced a walleye (neither have I), so I wanna try my best to give him a great awesome weekend with his uncle that he wont forget :) (anytime I fish with him he outfishes me... seems to have a golden horseshoe up his ass.lol), so i sure we (or at least he.lol) will do good and wanna make this an annual thing with me :) Again, thank you so much for all the help guys. I will post a report once we get back.
