Comming down Sat. with some elderly fishing friends we need to use 4 wheelers and kindly ask if the ice is safe in the channel east of the bridge also considering Pt. Anne in the narrows any info would be appreciated.

Went out off Wagers and there was 16" of ice. Warm weather this weekend and maybe rain. not sure if this change things

I was near cow island last saturday. There was 12 inches of ice. Black to white ice was inconsistent. I was almost alone as most of the groups were over at the bridge or just east of it. If it starts raining and the river starts draining that ice gets thin fast. I would stay away from the channels on saturday uintil things cool off again.

A buddy that I was talking to this morning said he went there last night and there was only 4-5inches in the middle of the chanel. With all the rain/run off we just had and the warm weather we are having now I wouldn't be surprised if there will be open spots this weekend or early next week. Be safe out there no fish is worth your life.
