I have the TB Med and MH rods. The MH are great for Qunite. I used the Medium last weekend, and it will do, but the 3/4oz stuff is too much for that rod. I went with a 32" long rod. Can you find a good rod for a lot less? Yup! I went with the custom builds, so all of mine are identical, which I like when I'm fishing. If you have any questions on what else they offer let me know. I've been through the process a few times. However, good luck getting a custom build at this point in the season. I think they might even be out of blanks, so you may be limited to shelf rods.

You cant beat a Rovic Rod. Built by Rolly Beenen. I have several and they are a very good and tough rod. I think Stacey has some in his shop so give him a call. Rolly comes to Quinte quite often so give him a shout and he might be able to hook up with you. Fred...

Yes, we have Rovic Rods in the store. Rolly does make a great Bay of Quinte rod.

I agree with Fred.
Rolly's rods are the best!
I purchased two from him a few years ago and could not be happier.

We drove out to your shop Saturday after we got off the ice. Nice shop! My buddy bought a couple of those rods. He was gonna buy 1, and we talked him into 2. We tried to get him to buy more, but he knew we were just trying to spend his money. They seem like a nice stick. He did catch a few on it later in the weekend, and said they handled the fish very well. His only complaint on the rod was the large handle placed on these rods. Especially behind the reel. His opinion was that it got in the way when using the pistol grip.

Check out Pro Tackle's own custom rods , they're great! We have Rovic's as well and they are good too, they'll handle the Big Girls.

I wouldn't trade a spool of line for a rovic rod .....if u like fishing with a piece of dowling that has no sensitivity .. I know a lot of guys that have rovics just sitting collecting dust

Kinda harsh, but I did notice whatever rod my buddy bought (whether it was a Rovic or Pro Tackles rod) it was very stiff, which I guess is OK but if it lacks sensitivity then that's an issue. I don't know. I haven't fished it.

My MH Thorne Bros are perfect for Quinte! The sensitivity and feel of them in your hand is great! There is a nice even parabolic bend in the blank, and they are light.

I went with a 6" Tennessee handle and REC guides. Crazy light set-up I can fish all day with.
