Hey Everyone.

I am taking my son (8yrs) out for a day of perch fishing tomorrow. I have noticed lots of talk about Point Anne for the jumbo's this year.
Normally I fish Indian Island for Jumbo's but have had no luck out there this year.

I have only fished the point a few times and that was in the summer and with a buddy driving the boat.

Can some one point me to a few nice spots to set my boy on.
not looking for your honey hole or secret spots.

thanks in advance

Hi Beatthecat

Park at the bottom of the graveyard, next to Bay Marine outside Trenton. Walk out approx 200 metres or so and drill holes. Lot's of beauty size perch there - on a mild day, you will have a great time with your son. The ice is very safe in that area as well, so no worries (over 12 inches). You will be in approx 10 feet of water. There is a small tin hut set up that you can judge your distance of how far out to go.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Awesome! Thanks Pepe.

I have never fished that area. I have gone off Baker's Island lots but usually straight out or more towards dunks for Eyes.

Its funny this year. usually I put a hut out at Indian island for perching with the kids but this year the perch just don't seem to be there.
I have caught a few dinks here and there by the island but nothing to write home about.
is this because the Eyes seem on fire this year?

thanks again. My son loves to fish but does not have the patience for a slow day like most kids.

Great to hear!!!! Your young fella (and my grandsons) don't care how big, they just want to feel their lines go tight.
