Not sure if that's even how you spell it but im using black 12 inch black leters and im 0 for 4 on BOQ this year. My dad says I shouldn't use them or use fluorocarbon leters? Would love some opinions obviously im doing something wrong, been marking fish but cant get em to bite. Seen soo many nice pics on here great job everyone ive gotta get this skunk off my back. I use about 18 inches of 12 lb florocarbon leader either tied with double Uni knot or barrel swivel

Your dad is right....you don't need a steel leader for walleye. The reason people use a fluorocarbon leader is because the line is pretty much invisible under water, and may improve your chances of catching a fish. It's not for strength. I use 12 pound floro for my leader, attached to the main line with a small barrel swivel.

Good Luck
