Hi, I have never been ice fishing on the bay of quinte before. Can anyone recommend a good place for hut rentals? I'm not really sure where the best fishing is. We're looking for walleye. We would like to rent a hut but don't need a guide for the day (I saw a few places that were $150+/person).
Thanks!

I understand about not wanting a guide...but they know where the fish are as they move around and you will have a better chance of geting into some fish with a guide. Joe at PB&J is awesome. The second reason for a guide is safety....BOQ has numerous currents and you need to be aware of. Good luck out there and stay safe.

when we come up for ice fishin
we use sunsetfarmsandcabins - actually stay there and use their huts -
we usually catch fish- sometimes big sometimes smaller but we don't care
as long as we catch some walter eyes ???
i think you can just rent a hut even if you don't stay there !
that being said hut placement and moving them seems to always pay off
for us !!
we were up in jan did good
coming back up in feb i'm sure we will do good also [usually do in the 3rd wk of feb.
they are located in northport !
nice people and mark is very accomadateding [whoops ]
give them a shout !

the ole bluedog

i think the hut rental is 50$ a day but not sure
thankx
